Solvent Recovery

As an integral part of our customers synthesis and chemical manufacturing process we are a critical part of the supply chain. The function of the recovered solvent product we supply is to dilute, to be the eluent, to extract, to solubilize or to separate different chemical compounds.

The solvent recovery process involves distillation to extract all impurities generated by the chemical reaction (by products, non-reacted raw materials, co reaction products, other solvents, …) to obtain a high quality solvent with a similar specification to the original product.

Our knowledge, international experience, level of expertise and standards within the facilities we operate combine to provide a highly qualified team. This allows us to offer continuous improvement projects collaborating in partnership with our customers, as a key partner in our customers value optimization.

How we work


In assessing any treatment or disposal of solvent streams, Tradebe Chemicals looks first at how it may be recycled. In many instances this allows Tradebe actually to purchase waste streams. Tradebe operates a fleet of purpose-designed vehicles, including vacuum tankers and special ‘hybrids’ which can carry bulk distillate and drums simultaneously. The company is a registered carrier for the transport of waste products and adheres.

STEP 1 | Based on initial information supplied, Tradebe Chemicals performs a desktop assessment of likely process routes and benefits available for a particular waste stream.

STEP 2 | For complicated mixtures and to reaffirm the desktop studies, a sample may be requested in addition to CAR (Chemcial Assessment Request), related MSDS, specifications, …

STEP 3 | Upon receipt of the sample, highly trained technical staff will run tests on laboratory equipment that closely mimic plant conditions and produce a commercial report. A sample of the distilled material can be sent to the customer for quality approval in the toll recovery option.

STEP 4 | The results of this work will then be discussed with the client and who will be advised of the best methods of handling the product, detailing any alternatives worthy of consideration.

STEP 5 | Tradebe Chemicals will then produce a full commercial quotation detailing specifications and any special requirements.

STEP 6 | Industrial Processing with industrial trials.
